Lauren is a faculty instructor, teaching musical theater and acting as music director in the Vocal Dept. Her class includes individual coaching; developing personal narrative; the art of cabaret shows; comedy performance techniques; and learning how to adjust classical vocal technique to musical theater and contemporary repertory.

Each year, she co-creates and serves as musical director for an end-of-semester revue, including arranging harmonies and medleys and coordinating/writing charts for additional musicians.

She has written and performed musical ‘roasts/toasts’ for over a hundred birthday parties, anniversary celebrations, retirement parties and bar/bat mitzvahs. She has released 10 albums of educational music and classroom musicals for children, as well as 8 albums of original comedy songs, and she is the composer and co-lyricist for “Unsung: The Marie Dressler Musical”

Lauren has written over a dozen children’s musicals, published by Contemporary Drama Service, and special material for a wide range of singers and organizations, including individual performers such as Liz Callaway and corporate clients: Wells Fargo, 1st NorCal Credit Union, Quantum.

Lauren has worked as a vocal/music director for cabaret singers and for numerous Bay Area Theaters, including 42nd St. Moon, Theatreworks Silicon Valley, Woodminster Summer Musicals, Hillbarn Theater, Broadway By The Bay, and many more. She also consults with/works with organizations such as the Burlingame Club, Peninsula Golf & Country Club, and the Hillsborough Racquet Club, writing, developing and music directing their shows.

Lauren works with individual clients of all ages and levels, including vocal technique, acting, audition preparation, repertory selection, music theory, songwriting, performance coaching, and career mentoring.
