What can customized comedy do for you?
Every show is completely customized to your company, your event, and your goals. Here are some examples of how Lauren has helped other clients.
"Thank you for helping to turn a usually dull event into a fun and memorable one."
Laura Idzik, March of Dimes
Client Benefits
Handling tough issues- BayView/Eureka merger
For their first company-wide meeting after the merger, the client wanted to ease concerns about the effect on employees of combing two companies with different corporate cultures. Lauren started as a typical dry keynote speaker until she was interrupted by actors and went into a comedy show addressing these challenges with humor. Bank employees were reassured that the company understood their concerns and the meeting successfully diffused their tension.
Motivating Sales Reps- Quantum
This client needed to stand out from their competitors at a distribution training event featuring multiple manufacturers. While the other companies offered typical power-point educational sessions, Lauren included all the training content in a comedy show. Attendees commented that not only did they have fun and enjoy the program, the retained MORE information and Quantum's session received a clear top ranking.
Thinking Like Customers- Hewlett-Packard
The photo division wanted to improve its ability to focus on their target market, and they recognized a disconnect between high tech sales people and suburban moms. They provided a day of training programs, teaching attendees about the needs and concerns of parents with regard to photography. Lauren observed the day and wrote material on-the-spot which she performed at the closing diner. Her show as a memorable and highly effective summary of the program.
Rewarding Top Performance-Genworth Financial
For the past several years, Lauren has written songs about Genworth's top sales winners at their incentive trip, and the public acknowledgment makes them feel appreciated and recognized (as well as motivating everyone else to try a bit harder the next year.)
Fundraising
Lauren was the emcee for an event that both paid tribute to high-end donors and asked them for even more. She handed this sensitive task by using humor and customized songs, introducing speakers, and serving as an entertaining live auctioneer. The event was a huge success, largely because of the way humor eased the awkwardness of donation soliciting.

FAQs
Here are some frequently asked questions. If you need other information, or a proposal for your upcoming event, please contact our office.
How much does the show cost?
Every show is completely customized to your needs, so pricing varies, but our typical clients spend between $1,000 (for Lauren performing a solo show to pre-recorded accompaniment, with limited customization) to $10,000 and up (Lauren plus musicians and other actors, completely customized, including cameos by management). Contact our office, and we can either come up with a price based on your show needs, or a show based on your budget.
Our industry (or guest of honor) is really dull. How can you do a comedy show?
We’ve found humor in high tech, complex medical suppliers, funeral directors, and more – our experience writing hundreds of shows has taught us that there’s something fun, and funny, about every company, every industry, and every person.
I’m nervous about hiring a comedy show, since comics are often inappropriate. How can I reassure people and make sure the comedy is acceptable?
Unlike typical comics, we have extensive experience with corporate audiences and we know what’s appropriate. And with customized shows, you review all the material and approve it or request rewrites, so you can show your managers or committee everything in advance.
Can the show travel? And how far in advance do we need to book?
We’ve gone all over the country – the client covers travel expenses, but Lauren can perform by herself to prerecorded tracks, which makes it more affordable. We’ve done customized shows on as little as 2 days notice, but ideally we get the best information if we have a couple of weeks for research & writing.
